We started class today by reviewing what we knew about Babylonian values from their creation story the
Enuma Elish (see notes below). Then, everyone had about 20 minutes to respond to some discussion questions based on the first half of the
Gilgamesh story (see handout below, we worked with the front sheet only today).

After everyone had a chance to respond to these questions we came together as a class and discussed the responses that people had drafted. We will continue working more with this story tomorrow.
